Funeral Grants

Families maybe eligible to apply for a Funeral Grant from WINZ.  Generally, if a WINZ Client is Single then the criteria is based on their assets.  If Married or in a Partnership, then the Partner will also be asset tested.  Our experienced staff can guide you through the application process.

Families Applying for the Funeral Grant

If you are wanting to apply for the work and income funeral grant your funeral director will provide you the following documents to help you with your application.

These are: 
The Funeral Grant Application
Funeral Home Confirmation Letter
Invoice

That you will need:
Stamped Bank Statement of the Deceased’s Account on the day that they passed away.

Attach these to your Application and take into your Work and Income Branch.
